Commencement Information
COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY:
If your commencement ceremony will take place on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 9:00 a.m.
You MUST report to the library by 8:00 a.m. in your regalia (only the graduate will
be permitted to enter the library).
If your commencement ceremony will take place on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
You MUST report to the library by 1:00 p.m. in your regalia (only the graduate will
be permitted to enter the library).
REHEARSAL:
Your rehearsal ceremony will take place on Friday, June 7, 2024, in the IVC gym.
If you are assigned to the 9:00 a.m. ceremony, your rehearsal is at 12:30 p.m.
If you are assigned to the 2:00 p.m. ceremony, your rehearsal is at 2:00 p.m.
Rehearsal is MANDATORY.
TICKET INFORMATION:
Each graduate will be given three (3) tickets for their ceremony.
Please note that tickets are not interchangeable between the two ceremonies.
All guests will be required to have an admission ticket regardless of age as this
is set forth by the fire code.
Tickets will be distributed with your regalia order.
If tickets are lost or misplaced, IVC cannot replace tickets as we do not have extra
tickets.
Counterfeiting, falsifying or copying commencement admission tickets will result in
the guest(s) being denied entry in to the ceremony.
If a graduate opts to purchase or sell their tickets, we ask that you please do so
with caution as IVC does not condone nor assume any responsibilities for these sales
whatsoever.
LIVESTREAM:
We understand that this is a milestone event for students and know the importance
of sharing this celebration with family and friends. IVC will have the commencement
ceremony livestreamed on the College’s main website at www.imperial.edu.
REGALIA ORDERS:
Regalia orders can be picked up on the following dates and times in room 4300:
Tuesday, May 28, 2024, 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday, May 29, 2024, 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Thursday, May 30, 2024, 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Friday, May 31, 2024, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
A picture ID (any school, state, federal issued ID) will be required to pick up your
order.
Within your package, you will find the following: cap, gown, tassel, academic cord
(if merited), & commencement tickets.
In the event that you are unable to pick up your regalia during our scheduled pick
up times, you may have a designee pick up your regalia for you however, you MUST notify the Student Affairs Office via email at studentaffairs@imperial.edu as we
will not release regalia without prior notification as this includes commencement
tickets.
STOLES:
Please note that stoles are NOT including in your commencement package. Some campus
programs and/or clubs may provide their students with graduation stoles and graduates
will need to contact the program and/or club advisor in regard to obtain their stole.
Additionally, IVC does not sell stoles, however, students may purchase them on their
own through a vendor of their choosing but must adhere to the guidelines set forth
by the Student Affairs Office. Please see the attached document for stole guidelines.
CEREMONY ACCOMMODATIONS:
If you or one of your guests needs special accommodations, we ask that you please
submit your request online at: https://forms.office.com/r/F9Cp7S5UQk All accommodations
must be submitted no later than Friday, May 24, 2024, by 11:30 p.m. We ask that graduates submit their accommodations as early as possible so that we
may meet all needs within reason.
GUEST INFORMATION:
Admission to the ceremony will be by ticket only.
Each guest must present an admission ticket to the assigned ceremony- this includes
babies and young children. NO EXCEPTIONS!
All children MUST be accompanied by an adult.
Tickets are NOT interchangeable between the two ceremonies.
No food or drinks will be allowed into the ceremony.
No air horns, whistles or other noise makers will be permitted into the gym.
Leis & stoles should be given to the graduate prior to the ceremony.
Absolutely no balloons will be allowed in the gym.
Strollers will not be allowed at the ceremony as they create a safety hazard and we
ask guests to please plan accordingly as guests will not be permitted to enter with
a stroller.
CAP DECORATION:
Cap decorations are permitted but must adhere to the IVC guidelines emailed to graduates.
