Industrial Technology courses and programs at Imperial Valley College offer educational
and training opportunities that prepare our students to be productive, competitive,
and skilled employees. Our curriculum integrates established Career National Skills
Standards that assure the student is prepared to meet the needs of our local, regional,
and global job-market, as well as their ability for successful transfer to a university.
Business and Industry have a need for certified, skilled workers. Our students are
prepared for certification to standards such as Automotive Service Excellence (ASE),
American Welding Society (AWS), and the State Water Quality Control Board Regulations.
To provide education that combines structured on-the-job training, with classroom
instruction and respond to labor market needs and maintain objectivity of degrees
and certificate programs. This will assure our students, employers, and the community
that our programs will fit and meet the requirements of today's technology.
